Upon Completing a Grand Prix, you will receive a trophy for that cup (if you placed in top 3 overall or above). Racers are awarded with points based on their placements at the end of races, and the racer with the most points at the end wins. In Grand Prix mode, twelve racers compete for first place in one of 24 cups (comprised of four races each). Released on March 18th, 2022, the Booster Course Pass DLC is set to bring 48 returning courses and 6 returning characters by the end of 2023. This game also has a DLC pack, called the Booster Course Pass. In addition, the Shine Thief and Bob-Omb Blast battle games from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! return as playable options in Battle Mode along with Renegade Roundup, a new mode. This game includes the Inklings as new playable characters along with nine returning characters from the previous games (latter six included as DLC): Dry Bones, King Boo, Bowser Jr., Birdo, Petey Piranha, Wiggler, Kamek, and another two that have not yet been announced. It was released in South Korea on December 15, due to the Nintendo Switch being released on December 1 there.
